Winfried Casters obtained a Master’s degree in Transportation Sciences from Hasselt University in 2011. He has around 15 years of experience in road design, covering rural and urban roads, motorways, intersections, roundabouts and traffic signals. He currently works as a road safety expert at the Roads and Traffic Agency in Flanders (Belgium) and has been a certified Road Safety Auditor since 2023.
